Spoiled Myself....

Yesterday me and Ryan were roaming the mall when I came to the Coach store. I never go in there. I decided yesterday, I just wanted to LOOK. Of course thats never easy... so we went in and looked around and left... walked the mall some more. As we were walking, I am telling Ryan all the reasons why I deserved to by myself a Coach purse. I got promoted back in January and I still have not really spoiled myself on anything. We have of course have done some nice stuff to the house but I really haven't bought myself anything expensive. It was done, I talked myself into it. Ryan was laughing at me because he said, "honey I dont care what you do, its your money." Which I know he doesnt care but I feel guilty spending that much money on myself! Come to find out the purse I really really liked was a Poppy Tote Glam and only $198! For any of you who shop at Coach, knows, thats CHEAP! Its very very big too! Lots of room for diapers and bottles once the baby arrives and were on the go! ;)

The weekend upon us & we got a raspberry on our hands!

Well since it's my typical "Friday" post, as you all know every Friday I am another week along. What a great way to end my week though! Getting to read how much our baby grew from week to week and all the crazy things that are happening to him/her! Not only do I get to enjoy reading about all of the babies growths I get to start my WEEKEND! This weekend should be a fun one! Tonight me and Ry are going to see Charlie St. Cloud, looking forward to that! And tomorrow we get to finally meet this guy my sister is just in aw over, Dan! We are all going to grab some dinner and head to the bowling alley for a fun date night! Should be a great weekend! Here is your look at our "large raspberry" this week!

Amazed is an understatement!

Just got home from our 8 week appointment. Wow. What a great experience! Minus the blood work and giving 5 things of blood and you know the usual breast exam, fun times, it was great! The best part... seeing the jelly beans flickering little heart. So crazy to think I have 2 hearts inside of me right now. A whole other life just growing inside of me. The nurse said the baby is measuring exactly on track for how far along I am.

As you all know, my nephew Connor has down syndrome. This does not increase my risk but we did opt in for an ultra sound in about 4 weeks for some testings that they can do to tell us our risks with it. It will measure the fluid around his neck and I will also have to give some more blood. This will be good to know just for peace of mind. And if our little jelly bean had any risks it would still be okay, we will love it no matter what! Our next appointment it Tuesday the 24th of August. This one we will actually get to hear the heartbeat, and the following one will be the big reveal of boy or girl!! My gut? it's a girl. We will see though! A boy would be sooo much fun with my little nephew and I really want his hand me downs since I bought a ton of them! ;) Either way, we will be so happy! Oh, and in case you were wondering, we bought the rocking chair/glider last night!!! Here is an updated jelly bean shot, a whole lot bigger than the last time we got to see him/her! We love you jelly bean!

A Steal? I think so!

Today I was browsing on Craigslist just looking at rocking chairs because new ones are like 500-700 dollars at most places! I ran across this ad that got posted today for a glider/rocking chair for how much you ask? Oh $60 dollars!!! We are going to check it out after work today and if we like it, it's ours! It looks kind of pinkish in the picture, but thank heavens for my momma, because she can reupholster! Phew! So I think either way, boy or girl, we will change the fabric to something that matches the nursery which wont be much at all! We also love that it has a gilding ottoman... woo hooo! So for all your eyes to see... here is what COULD be our first purchase for the baby and the potential rocking chair! For all those sleepless nights :)

Our sweet little blueberry

7 weeks along already, wow! The little bean is the size of a blueberry. In honor of the babes we we were grocery shopping last night and picked up a pack of blueberries, yep they were on sale for $1!

This last week we basically hung out with Ryan's dad and sister and just were lazy. I was pretty nauseous all week but I guess thats all in the joys of what's to come! My biggest thing lately is having absolutely no appetite. Lunch time comes, nothing sounds good, Dinner comes, nothing. I hope that my love for all my favorite foods will come back soon because right now the only thing I really ever want is fruit and bread.

Our appointment is coming up this Tuesday. We are hoping to get the ultrasound soon after to hear the babies heartbeat! This appointment is for all the blood work and history (fun!) Lucky Ryan for not having to go through some of things I am about to encounter. I hate giving blood and the littlest pinch hurts, so the fact that I have to give 5-6 things of blood is really starting to freak me out. The thing that keeps me going is knowing its all for this baby and the end result will be nothing but a sweet little bundle of joy! And I will soon forget about all the pain and agony this baby caused me!

I can't wait for the first trimester to be over, so I can feel more awake, have an appetite and not feel like I want to throw up all the time! So that I can have some motivation to shop for this baby too! We aren't planning on really getting much at all till we find out what we're having. Which by the way, is the end of September! SO looking forward to that!! I will update you guys on Tuesday on how this appointment goes! Until then, have a great weekend!

6 weeks along!

Today I am 6 weeks along! This week our baby gets his/her eyelids as well as little arm and leg buds! So cute! The babies heart is also beating now! It is still so unreal to me to think a person can grow inside a person! The baby is the size of a sweet PEA!

Ryan's dad and sister drove in from Ohio so we have been spending time with them. This weekend we are going to check out Biosphere 2 here in AZ. We are looking forward to that! It should be a great weekend! Happy Friday everyone :)

Jelly Beans Debut~

So we went to the doctor today to get the ultrasound. Everything was PERFECT! We didnt hear a heartbeat which we didnt think we would because I am still so early, but we saw the little bean in there. She said it is placed perfectly and it is right where it should be for how far along I am. She also said my HCG levels are perfect. I feel so relieved!!! Well here is the big reveal...
Its the little white dot inside the big black dot :) AKA: the sac

What have we been up to?

A WHOLE LOTTA NOTHING! :) I have been taking the doctors orders and doing pretty much nothing. Glueing myself to this dang couch! I was actually sore yesterday from laying down so much! I am used to getting things done on the weekend and being a busy bee! It was nice to relax but I was def. over it by the time Sunday night hit!
Ryan's dad is driving all the way from OHIO! Yes, Ohio! Such a long drive! But he wants to come visit us and hang out some more in AZ. He really likes it here! His younger sister Kara is coming too! I am excited to hang out with them and get some good quality time in!!
We get to see our little bean tomorrow, I couldnt be more excited! (And nervous too!) If we get a picture which I will request if I can, I will post it on here, even though it will just be a little dot! Haha.
Well I will be blogging tomorrow after the appointment to let you know how it goes! Until then... have a good night!

Looks like we will be seeing the bean early!

I got a call from the doctor this afternoon. She wanted to see how I was feeling, I told her a lot better than this morning. She told me that she wanted to just get me in for an ultrasound to make sure all was going okay. She said I have nothing at all to worry about and this is standard procedure. So looks like we will see the seeing jelly bean on Tuesday coming up at 11am! I will let you know the outcome, keep us in your thoughts!! :)

WATER WATER WATER!

So starting last night I was cramping and it continued into this morning. So I called the doctor, just to be sure! She told me that it is okay and normal as long as there is no bleeding involved, which there isn't so we are good there. She said I am dehydrated. Apparantly drinking 80 oz of water a day isn't cutting it! I need to be up to 120 oz a day. She also said that I need to do nothing ALL weekend but lay down. She was cute she said "tell your sweety that your not cleaning the house this weekend." She said with the high temps and my hormones rapidly changing that I just need to rest and "chug a lug."

So on that note, Ryan will be cleaning the house this weekend while I do nothing but watch movies and lay down! Need to protect this little bean!

Happy Friday and CHEERS TO MY WATER! :)

Jelly Bean at 5 weeks

I have a tadpole inside of me this week! :)
Our little jelly bean is the size of an apple seed with a heartbeat beginning!

My goal by 3-11-11

My goal is to be DEBT FREE by the time the baby arrives. I am going to strive to pay off every credit card and debt that I have. Then I know we will be 100% financially ready for this. I know that right now we will be okay either way but I would feel a huge load off my shoulders if I didnt have to pay my monthly credit card bill. I will keep you updated in a few months on how my goal is coming along... I am challenging myself, can I accomplish this? I haven't been debt free since I was 17... oh wait, probably because you couldn't have debt when you were 17! First step, paying off Buckle Credit Card tomorrow on payday, havent used this in years!

Someone wake me up!

Well it's been a few days since I have been on this thing! Probably because all I want to do is SLEEP! I am constantly tired. I know they say you can have coffee, but I am nervous about every little thing right now, just trying to get over this 12 week hump! We have told some more friends the news, so welcome new readers! We feel good about the people we told and we dont plan on breaking the news to many more people before the 12 week time! By the way, 12 weeks is August 20th!

Our good friend Venessa bought us some more great books for Ryan and I to read. One has a ton of GREAT recipe's that are safe for me and the jelly bean. I look forward to attempting to cook some of these! I will let you know how it goes :)

Till next time......

The Jelly Bean news is out!

Well we told my whole side of the family that we are pregnant this weekend. They all new something was up when I wasn't drinking. I had to protect the little Jelly Belly! When I told my sister, mom and dad they all freaked out. My mom cried and then the next day my sister just balled!! She is so excited for Connor to have a cousin. All in all our 4th of July weekend was good. I was pretty nauseous on Sunday morning but it was okay! Well guys, hope you have a great week and happy reading!!! Here is our first picture with the Jelly Bean inside of us! :)

Well that didn't last long!

After a very long talk.......

We thought we would not be telling a single soul for the next 10-12 weeks. That didn't last for very long!! We just got done telling Ryan's parents that they are going to be grandparents again!!! His parents, brothers, and sister now know.

We decided to do this because we both wanted to go through this journey not only together but as a family. We thought this was the only right thing to do, so we spread the news!!!

Tomorrow we will tell my family when we get to the hotel for the 4th of July. This will be INTERESTING! But now they will all understand why I am not drinking :) I have to keep the Jelly Belly safe! (That's what were calling the baby till we know whether it's a boy or a girl!)

So to all my family members reading this blog, happy reading, because your eyes are the only one's who get to see how this journey goes over the next 2 months! Then this blog will finally be public!! Enjoy! :)

Here goes nothing!

Well we found out on Wednesday June 30th that we are PREGNANT! Although nobody is reading this blog quite yet we thought we would start this to track our journey through this pregnancy and the things to follow! Today is July 2nd and I am officially 4 weeks. The reason that nobody is reading this blog yet is because we have decided to keep it between us until we are at least 10-12 weeks along. So as of right now its just Ryan and I that know. This is the hardest thing ever to hold in and not tell people!

Your probably wondering how I am feeling and what made us take the at home test. Well during the week of June 20th I was cramping very badly which I read on to find out that some women feel Implantation Cramping- go figure that I would feel this. So the first day we were able to test according to the at home tests was June 30th. We came home from work, I tested and within seconds the digital pregnancy tests appeared "Pregnant"! I didn't believe it could be true so we ventured to CVS to pick up another package of tests. 4 tests later, I was for sure pregnant.

Our first doctors appointment is July 27th which we are so excited for. We may not hear the heartbeat for the first time until early August. Lately I have been feeling exhausted and quite nauseous. If this is any sign of what the next three months are going to be like, I am going to be in hell. Ryan has been nothing but amazing through this process so far. He is taking care of me and being such an amazing husband. We both have started reading a book, mine being "What to Expect When Your Expecting" and Ryan's being "The Expectant Father." So we can start learning of all the things that are coming! Well guys, here goes nothing!
